Message Be much more comprehensive. As an example, Curt has his learner's permit and prior to getting his license we are enrolling him in a defensive driving course in addition to our efforts to teach him things that the driver's ed course doesn't cover.

I think these evasive manuevers and defensive driving techniques should be a standard part of the curriculum as opposed to merely reciting the DMV driver's handbook cover to cover like what was done when I got my license. For the record, I took a defensive driving course shortly after I got my license.
